Hans “Tuna” Lund died on November 6th
of cancer at the young age of 59.
He won his first WSOP bracelet in 1978
in the $1,500 No Limit Event.
In 1996 he won his 2nd bracelet in
the $1,500 Ace to Five Draw event
and cashed in 3 other bracelet events
that year.
Notable finishes include 3 final tables
at the 1992 WSOP including 3rd in the
'92 Main Event, 2nd place at the 1990 Main Event,
2nd place at the $1500 NL Holdem events in '88 & '86,
22 WSOP cashes and a dozen or so WPT cashes.
In his career, he grossed over $3 million.
While not that impressive a number by todays
standards, Tuna was away from poker for
over a decade to spend more time with his family.
